The Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Board (MPBSE) was established in the year 1965, The Act is also called the Madhya Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Adhiniyam and it extends to the whole of Madhya Pradesh.

MP Board conducts examination as per the proposed syllabus and curriculum circulated by the State Government, it also gives recognition to the high schools and higher secondary schools in Madhya Pradesh.
