The Assam Board of Higher Secondary Education (SEBA) was established in 1984 to develop the system of Higher Education in the state of Assam. The Assam board tries to reach all the educational goals set by them. The board prescribes the curricula, syllabus and the course of instruction for the Higher Secondary Schools. The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) tries to solve out all the problems which are a hindrance in the education. It also advices the government on the development and improvement of the Higher education.
The Assam AHSEC examination Branch is responsible for conducting exams for the 12th class. HSSLC (Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate) is awarded to the students who have passed this examination which is required to pursue higher education at a degree level. The SEBA conducts exams in the month of March 2016. The Assam Board 12th Class Exam 2016 results will be declared in the month of May or June 2016.
