Andhra Pradesh Open School Society (APOSS) was established as an autonomous society registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Act on 20th of February 1991 and inaugurated on the 17th of March 1991. The SSC course was started in the year 2008-09. It was a milestone for the  first State Open School in the country.

The objective of APOSS is to identify the educational needs of the children/persons of the State who are generally not catered to by the formal system of school education. Close to 75000 students had enrolled for the APOSS SSC 2011 admissions, proving the need for the society in the state.

APOSS 10th class Public exams 2016
The Prospectus for the APOSS SSC year 2013-14 has been issued, Students are required to fill the Prospectus and pay the prescribed fee. The Andhra Pradesh Open School Society will hold its SSC exams soon 2016.
