With Visakhapatnam named as the Main Campus and two branches at Kadapa and Nizamabad, A.P. University of Law was found on 8th July 2008. A.P. University of Law showcases the growing importance of Law as a subject and the ever growing need to establish institutes that deliver courses worth the cause. The name of the institute was however changed to “Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University” under the Andhra Pradesh University of Law (Amendment) Act, 2012 (Act No. 15 of 2012). “YatoDharmastatoJayah” the motto of the University, from Mahabharata, in simple terms would mean “Victory comes to those who follow Dharma.”

The faculty of A.P. University of Law comprises 9 distinguished professors who helps students make their studies a cake walk. Courses offered by this esteemed university are B.A., LL.B. (HONS.), LLB, LLM, PH.D., LL. D., and Diploma Courses. The library counts as the Sine qua non for the university. It is the place which is home to All India Reporter volumes since 1950 and innumerable journals that students can refer to. The pattern of exams is entirely internal and based on semester wise pattern. An aggregate of 50% is required to pass the exams.
